Individual Service Package Treatment Team Other Information

We offer comprehensive therapy in a package for all our students. We implement individualized Contemporary Behavioral Therapy curriculum, which has been developed by the directors at Autism Partnership for over 25 years. Our programs are developed for each individual child to address critical foundation skills necessary for long-term success. Our staff specializes in developing curriculum to address areas such as language, behavior and social skills, which are necessary to improve quality of life for all children with autism. Progress is achieved through the use of specialized teaching techniques, training and support for families, and a focus on teaching and improving appropriate behaviors.

The effectiveness of our approach is self-explanatory not only in Dr. Ivar Lovaas’ study but also in the collected scientific data at Autism Partnership. We found that 95% of the young children who have received our intensive behavioral intervention for a year have acquired speech. 71% of them can speak a 3-word sentence or more.

Individual Service Package

Once a child has been assessed by our clinical psychologists, a program/ curricula is tailor made by our program consultants and implemented by our effective frontline staff. A typical individual ABA program comprises of 15-30 hours per week of intensive therapy depending on the child’s age, school placement and ancillary services. Our tailor made program looks at the child in a holistic way making sure that we teach all the necessary skills for successful development. Skill areas can include but not limited to:

  • Communication & Language
  • Social skills including initiation & assertiveness
  • Behavioral management & Compliance problems
  • Creative and Imaginary Play Skills
  • Abstract and Creative thinking
  • General Knowledge
  • Community Training & Vocational skills
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Organizational Skills
  • Perspective Taking

All the skill areas are taught using research based precision teaching techniques to ensure that student is learning at the maximal rate. Our teaching environment is systematically manipulated to help a child remain successful while teaching new skills.

Sessions are conducted in a one-on-one format most of time although we do include small-group teaching and/or structured playdates at different stages. Depending each child’s need, they will also be recommended for different group programs and school integration. Service usually provided at our center, home, school, community or combination.

Ongoing Program Review
Therapy sessions are overseen by Behavioral Consultants. Regular Program Review Sessions up to 6-8 hours per month are to ensure changes can be made as soon as challenges arise and programs can be added where necessary. Program Review Sessions allow us to closely monitor our quality service and regular evaluation on program goals and curriculum design.

Clinic Meetings
A monthly clinic is arranged for Consultant and family to discuss the child’s progress, current issues of concern and to review short and long-term objectives. The clinic meeting will also programs evaluation and future program recommendations. Other professionals involved with the student are also welcome to attend clinical meetings.

Parent Training
Parent training is highly recommended so parents can learn all the necessary skills to enhance treatment outcome even outside treatment hours. We believe strongly that parental expertise, not merely their involvement, is critical. (More...)

Treatment Team

We take every case very seriously and professionally. Each child is treated by a team of well-trained therapists who provide direct line implementation of CBT on a daily basis. The therapists will be teaching all the target skills as set by the case supervisor. Our experienced case supervisor who oversees and supervises the child regularly is responsible for program design and curriculum development. He/ she will also conduct the monthly clinic meeting.
