How to stop a child from asking already-known questions repeatedly?

Parent’s Concern:
My child lately asks me lots of questions. For example, when he drinks water, he will ask me “Do I need to drink water?” He needs my reply otherwise he will not drink until I tell him to do so. Same at dinner time, he asks “What do I need to eat?”, if I don’t answer him he will not eat. Why he keeps asking questions? How do I make him stop asking?
