Teaching children with ASD proper personal hygiene
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Wearing a mask has become a part of our daily life. Yet, it may be scary for some children with ASD to start wearing a mask. We know that the most effective way to reduce the contact of viruses and germs Is to keep our hands clean and minimize touching public items.
However, our students (with ASD) are often weak at self-controlling and they might not like the smell or the texture of hand sanitizer.
So today AP’s Behavior Consultant Ms. Catherine Tam will be demonstrating some tips to help our students (with ASD) through these challenges.
