A Work in Progress – Kimi – Pretend Play Skills

Does your child love pretending?

Pretend play is when a child uses his or her imagination to create scenarios involving multiple perspectives, either with themselves, other children, or toys. When your child is pretending to be a chef cooking food, a doctor talking to a patient or an astronaut walking on the moon, they are developing their unique skills, such as communication, social, emotion, understanding and creativity.

Pretend play is a crucial aspect of childhood development, as it helps developing children’ creativity, understanding of others and social competence with peers. Therefore, this week, we have started to teach Kimi some basic skills on pretend game playing. Let’s take a look!

And share your ideas on pretend play games for our parents!
