A Work in Progress – Kimi’s Language Training

Hi! Today we will take a close look at Kimi’s early language development. The development of receptive (listening) and expressive (speaking) language in very young children from 0-6 years old is important because oral language has a measurable impact on the acquisition of literacy skills in later years.

Children at the age of 2-3 years old can begin combining words into simple sentences and can imitate 2-3 word phrases( mommy plays, more cookies, throw ball, I play car). However, Kimi, now at 2 years and 7 month olds, cannot use language to express and can only make a sound “arg” to request his needs. And this has become a huge concern to parent of Kimi.

In the following months, we will focus on training Kimi’s language skills. In this video, we will flashback his first few days in AP, and discuss the training programs we have arranged during these 3 weeks. Let’s take a look!
