Complimentary Parent Consultation in Shenzhen

AP will provide complimentary parent consultation in Shenzhen on June 23, 2019. The consultation will be conducted by our AP Singapore Clinical Director, Wong Mai Shan and the AP Clinical Team from Hong Kong.

24 families (each session is limited to max. 2 adults.)

Remarks:

  • – Only open to parents who have registered for “Effective Implementation of ABA Treatment for Children with Different Levels of ASD” Conference in Shenzhen on June 22, 2019
  • – Only open to those who have never taken our AP service previously
  • – DO NOT bring your child to this consultation
  • – Parent must attend by themselves while the other one can be a close caregiver
  • – This service is for parents with ASD children

Selection of successful registration will be decided by ballot in case of oversubscription.

Consultants Biography

Ms. Wong Mai Shan
B.S.Ed, AP Singapore Clinical Director

Wong Mai Shan holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Oregon. Upon graduation, she was in charge of designing and setting up a preschool program at a local kindergarten. Following that, she was a Supervisor at a childcare centre. Since 1989, she has been working with children who have special needs. During her time at Dover Court Preparatory school, she was appointed the Centre Co-coordinator and worked with a wide range of children with different disabilities.

Her work with children with special needs continued at Horizon Centre for Special Education, where she was involved in the integration process of her students. She has been working with children with autism in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2001. She served as Autism Partnership’s school supervisor and oversaw the school program, Little Learners.

Mai Shan is presently the Clinical Director at AP Singapore, supervising case programs and overseeing training and development of staff. She is also a Behavior Consultant, providing services to families in Singapore and regionally.

Ms. Ng Yuen Yan, Teresa
M.S. ABA, BCBA, Case Supervisor

Ms. Teresa Ng, a master degree holder in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from St. Cloud State University and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, joined AP in 2001. Over the past decade, she has received regular training from Dr. Ronald Leaf and Dr. John McEachin and acquired extensive experience in treating and developing treatment programs for young children and adolescents with ASD as both therapist and supervisor.

Apart from providing parent training, staff training, consultation to local and oversea families in South Africa, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Mainland China, and conducting workshops in local preschools and non-profitable organizations, she has been responsible for overseeing Little Learners, a simulated kindergarten classroom using ABA approach.

Currently, she is responsible for local and overseas consultation, case management, program design, and case supervision.

Ms. Tam Kar Yan, Catherine
M.S. ABA, BCBA, Behavioral Consultant

Ms. Catherine Tam holds a Master of Science in Applied Behavioral Analysis and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She joined Autism Partnership in 2005 and began working as a Program Specialist. She has extensive experience with children and teenagers with autism in one-on-one and group settings.

She is now responsible for providing individual ABA therapy and counseling to teenagers and young adults with ASD, supervising individual cases in Hong Kong, and providing professional training and consultation to families and agencies in Mainland China and overseas countries. She also produces ABA training videos and articles in the APSPARKS website for public education.

In the past 15 years, she provided services to over 80 families, schools and organizations including 13,000 consultation hours and 6,000 therapy hours.
