Autism Partnership School is a non-profitable, non-subvented special school in Hong Kong. It is also the biggest private registered special school which can cater for up to 64 primary students. As the only school in Hong Kong specialized in treating children with autism, we accept students at different ages and levels of functioning.
Over the past 12 years, Autism Partnership has come across many parents who have expressed their concerns over the lack of specific school placements for children with ASD. Autism Partnership School is, therefore, founded for these parents who desire a quality, individualized education program for their children in a school setting. |

Autism Partnership School is registered with the Education and Manpower Bureau (EMB) and has full access to resources provided by the founding organization, Autism Partnership, which has over 200 full-time staff in 11 offices around the world. Autism Partnership is the largest and most established service provider for Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services in Hong Kong and the only provider of CBT.

summer and 1 week at Christmas. The fees are $17,500 per month.
General Information
Autism Partnership School will run using the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). There is over 50 years of extensive research to show that ABA is the most effective approach for treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other behavioral and development disorders. ABA is the application of behavioral science and learning theories to teach various skills, such as communication, behavioral, social skills, play and leisure skills, organizational skills, emotional development and regulation, initiation, reading, academic's, daily living skills, independence skills, community living. ABA teaching will be carried out in groups, with classrooms, curriculum and materials that assimilate typically mainstream classrooms, our classrooms and staff ratio allows teaching to occur in different size groups according to the needs of the child.
Class size will be kept small, with a maximum of 8 children in the class and overall teacher-student ratio of at least two pupils to one teacher. The teaching modality and curriculum can be taught as individual subjects or as an integrated theme. Students at Autism Partnership School are taught as a class, in small groups and individually depending on the child's needs.
School and Classroom Designs
Autism Partnership School in North Point holds 8 large classrooms; the school also contains 4 multi purpose rooms that can be used as library, music room, visual arts room or consulting rooms. The school itself has a large indoor play area allowing for different sporting activities, and a healthy tuck shop.
Our main objective that children of school age, should learn to participate in a variety of outdoor sport activities and also experience community training, in-order to participate in a variety of outdoor sport activities students of Autism Partnership School will also be taken to local swimming pools, and sports fields. The school is also looking to partner with other school to access even more facilities. Regular school outings to facilitate generalization of skills learned at school will also be conducted pertaining to the thematic theme taught at the time.
Curriculum
Every student at Autism Partnership School will have a curriculum and an Individual Education Plan (I.E.P) that is designed and devised individually to suite the student's needs and will also allow for assessment of the students progress on an on-going basis. Program Supervisors and classroom consultants will also regularly visit the classrooms to ensure that all the designed plans are administered in the most effective way. Our curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of the student with the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder aged five to eleven years old. The framework of our daily lessons and curriculum is based upon the national curriculum. We offer both English and Cantonese medium of instruction.
The curriculum for Primary one to Primary six covers core subjects of English, Mathematics, General Studies and Computer Studies, supported by Visual Art and Physical Education and Music. A core element of our curriculum individualized to your child's needs include personal, social and health education and community and self-help, independence training. We ensure that each of our students will have a highly detailed individualized plan that addresses their monthly targets, which will be implemented throughout the day.
We are committed to making sure all the skills taught in the school are meaningful and functional to the students. We want to ensure that we are providing instruction in skills that will be long lasting and establish core skills so that our students can work, live in the community as independently as possible with a high quality of life, together with a our school curriculum, which will cater students that demonstrate a higher level of academic skills, to work towards integration back to mainstream and academic settings.
Performance Evaluation
With our clear objectives and stated professionalism, Autism Partnership School works to build a reputation of high standard service with clarity. We work on a strict system of controls to guarantee goals are achieved effectively and efficiently.
The school will be evaluated on a multitude of levels in order to ensure that each child gets the skills training required for them to perform in school. And teachers will receive ongoing and continuous training and feedback so they can enhance their teaching skills.
Clinical Assessment
Every student is assessed by our clinical psychologist before enrollment and follow-up assessment will be carried out every 3 months. Assessments provide grounds for curriculum assessment, Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and program adjustment. Annual assessment is done to identify skill deficits and reflect learning progress. |

Curriculum Assessment
Based on individual's assessment, Program Consultants conduct a curriculum assessment on every student. It covers school academic skills, routines, transitions, and language, social and play skills to be taught in the upcoming academic year. Further breakdown on individual skills will be included in IEP.
Individual Educational Plan (IEP)
The IEP is produced based on the curriculum assessment, individual's clinical assessment, and communication between Program Consultants. IEP provides parents and teachers the overview of goals and objectives in the stated period of time. The I.E.P goals including a breakdown of academic, play, social, and self-help skills will be also discussed in the monthly school meetings with parents and school teachers. Classroom teacher implement these teaching and data is collected for every skill taught. With a summary report on teacher's observation, data collection, and consultation with Program consultants, IEP is modified on a monthly basis.
Parent Meeting
Classroom teacher will meet up with parents monthly to exchange observation, update student's learning progress, and modify IEP.
Classroom Inspection
The school, and each classroom will be supervised and consulted to by our school consultants, clinical psychologist, our local director and overseas director, and weekly meetings will be set up between consultants and each classroom teacher to enable us to provide feedback and training of classroom teaching skills.
Only with effective teaching approach and evaluation tools can students improve and move closer to typical classroom setting. The system of control AP Primary School adopts ensure a successful and meaningful learning experience.
